What happens during an assessment?
The physiotherapist may review posture-related habits, range of movement, shoulder function, any arm symptoms and relevant warning signs.
What might a care plan include?
Management may involve gentle mobility exercises, strengthening, work-break planning and appropriate manual approaches based on examination.
Questions patients ask
Is neck pain physiotherapy right for me?
There is no one treatment plan that suits everyone. The first step is to review the symptoms, medical history and functional goals, then decide whether physiotherapy, additional medical assessment or a different service is appropriate.
What should I bring to an assessment?
Please bring relevant reports or imaging if you already have them, a current medication list when relevant and a brief description of what daily activities have become difficult. You do not need to obtain scans solely to book a first enquiry.
Safety and next steps
Sudden severe headache, trauma, fever or new progressive arm/leg neurological symptoms warrant medical assessment.
