Cervical spondylosis describes age-related changes in the neck; some people have pain or stiffness, while many have no symptoms from imaging findings alone.
General educational information, not a diagnosis. Clinical review has not been recorded.
What happens during an assessment?
Evaluation looks at current symptoms, movement, daily activities and whether there are signs of nerve or spinal-cord involvement requiring specialist review.
What might a care plan include?
If appropriate, physiotherapy may focus on neck and shoulder strength, range of movement, pacing and comfortable function.
Questions patients ask
Is cervical spondylosis physiotherapy right for me?
There is no one treatment plan that suits everyone. The first step is to review the symptoms, medical history and functional goals, then decide whether physiotherapy, additional medical assessment or a different service is appropriate.
What should I bring to an assessment?
Please bring relevant reports or imaging if you already have them, a current medication list when relevant and a brief description of what daily activities have become difficult. You do not need to obtain scans solely to book a first enquiry.
Safety and next steps
Trouble walking, hand clumsiness, loss of balance or progressive weakness requires medical assessment rather than routine exercises alone.
