Laser or photobiomodulation therapy may be discussed for selected musculoskeletal concerns, depending on the device, indication and clinician's judgement. It is an adjunct, not a guaranteed cure.
General educational information, not a diagnosis. Clinical review has not been recorded.
What happens during an assessment?
Assessment should identify the underlying concern, relevant health history and whether a specific laser treatment is supported and safe.
What might a care plan include?
If clinically appropriate and genuinely offered, it may be used alongside education, exercise and follow-up rather than instead of a rehabilitation plan.
Questions patients ask
Is laser therapy right for me?
There is no one treatment plan that suits everyone. The first step is to review the symptoms, medical history and functional goals, then decide whether physiotherapy, additional medical assessment or a different service is appropriate.
What should I bring to an assessment?
Please bring relevant reports or imaging if you already have them, a current medication list when relevant and a brief description of what daily activities have become difficult. You do not need to obtain scans solely to book a first enquiry.
Safety and next steps
Confirm modality availability and required protective procedures; avoid exaggerated claims about instant healing.
