An imaging report may mention a bulging disc, but its relevance depends on the symptoms and examination. Disc changes are not always the source of pain.
General educational information, not a diagnosis. Clinical review has not been recorded.
What happens during an assessment?
The clinician may review the scan report if available, assess movement and neurological function and identify signs that require medical referral.
What might a care plan include?
For suitable cases, rehabilitation can include guided movement, symptom monitoring, gradual strengthening and returning to activities step by step.
Questions patients ask
Is disc bulge rehabilitation right for me?
There is no one treatment plan that suits everyone. The first step is to review the symptoms, medical history and functional goals, then decide whether physiotherapy, additional medical assessment or a different service is appropriate.
What should I bring to an assessment?
Please bring relevant reports or imaging if you already have them, a current medication list when relevant and a brief description of what daily activities have become difficult. You do not need to obtain scans solely to book a first enquiry.
Safety and next steps
New saddle numbness, bladder/bowel problems or rapidly worsening leg weakness needs emergency evaluation.
